About Cult of the Lamb NSP
Cult of the Lamb is an action-adventure game that surprised me with the amount of content I found lacking when I first started playing. It’s literally an action roguelikes disguised as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, but it balances the unexpected genre mix well. The charming art style and surprising number of side activities add personality to the somewhat linear structure. While the combat wasn’t deep enough to keep me playing past the end credits, I’m very glad I finished this dark cult. In Cult of the Lamb, you take on the role of a cult leader who has just been resurrected by an imprisoned god known as the Servant.
Overview:
These short adventures aren’t necessarily bad, but they meant I spent most of the 13 hours it took me to complete the game building a base and completing small NPC quests instead of using weapons. While Cult of the Lamb is reminiscent of games like Dead Cells, it also bears a strong resemblance to management games like Oxygen Without. In any case, it was a good game, and I liked that my decisions during the hunt were often influenced by the needs of my cult members, who worked hard behind the scenes, and not the other way around.
