DRAGON BALL: Shining! ZERO is an action-adventure game for PS5. Since the last release in the Dragon Ball Z series, Budokai Tenkaichi, much has changed in video games and how we play them. Dragon Ball: Sparking!, the first direct sequel from the PlayStation 2 era, boasts a classic design and presentation that sets it apart from other modern fighting games. It’s harder than Vegeta’s armor and has some frustrating imbalances, but they’re consistent with the story.

The menus are confusing, and the tutorials are sparse and sometimes useless. But every battle is designed with the sole purpose of delivering the Dragon Ball fighting fantasy seen in the anime. From iconic characters like Goku and Vegeta to some surprises like Frieza and Goku Black, this game offers a thrilling experience through the series’ most iconic battles. The game’s length varies, with Goku’s campaign being the longest, but all offer an entertaining experience. The best part of the campaigns is the Sparking! stages.

1. Download the ROM file from a mirror above.
2. On console: copy the NSP/XCI to your SD card and install with a homebrew installer.
3. On PC: open Yuzu or Ryujinx, add the game directory, then launch the game.
