Overcooked! All You Can Eat is an RPG that offers exciting gameplay, memorable kitchen characters, fun tools, and an immersive gaming experience. Players collect, chop, and cook ingredients, assemble dishes, serve, and prepare food. Between the dynamic rules and the need to learn other players’ characters, the game can seem a bit complicated. The sequel expands on the original game released in 2016 and introduces new cooperative levels, restaurant themes, chef outfits, and recipes.

Some levels have moving floors and other elements that complicate the cooking process, such as inaccessible doors, conveyor belts, and chimneys. Some classes change location and recipe, such as one that starts with preparing a salad in a hot air balloon and ends in a trash can. The game introduced a launch feature that allows players to remotely launch another chef or pan, as well as an online competition feature that allows teams to compete against each other in person or online.
