Pokémon Legends: Z-A NSP

Legends of Pokémon: Z-A is an action-adventure game. While you don’t fully control your Pokémon’s movements, it follows you around the battlefield, and dodging and timing your attacks precisely will determine whether you survive or lose hit points. You’ll have to make many decisions, as some attacks have longer animations and preparation times than others, so using every attack repeatedly as soon as you’re ready isn’t always the best option. In the second part of my demo, I had to chase a dog-like Zygarde. This section felt a bit clunky and stiff, and it was here that I first noticed the minor issue with background texture loading.

Gameplay:

Ah, yes, that Zygarde I was looking for! Where am I now? I turned a corner, and before I knew it, Zygarde charged at me, dragged me onto the rooftops, and forced me into a battle against a powerful Mega Absol. Look, we’ve all been fans of Davey Hawk since 2006, but this is an Absol. Thanks, Zygarde, for that! This should have happened at the beginning of the battle, since I only had Chikorita on my team, but luckily a Lucario appeared nearby and showed me how to activate Mega Evolution. We already know this basic cycle of the game.

1. Download the ROM file from a mirror above.
2. On console: copy the NSP/XCI to your SD card and install with a homebrew installer.
3. On PC: open Yuzu or Ryujinx, add the game directory, then launch the game.
4. Apply the included update/DLC for the full experience and enjoy!
