About Monster Hunter Stories NSP
Monster Hunter Tales Collection is an action-adventure game you should definitely try. It offers adventures focused on collecting and hunting monsters. It’s not like Pokémon, where your main character (whom you can customize) fights alongside creatures you recruit and train, but the idea of capturing increasingly powerful creatures and powering them up to unleash their full potential is very appealing. Just like in the classic Monster Hunter games, battles are turn-based. You can also evolve your monsters (known as Mantises) and use them to fight your opponents.
Gameplay:
Overall, it’s a good update for a game that’s about eight years old. It’s definitely the weakest title in the series. The second game, Wings of Ruin, is more complete, but I think the original Tales is still worth playing. It’s a fun RPG adventure with a great cast of characters, interesting (and adorable!) monster designs, and the core idea of collecting these monsters in a Pokémon-style way keeps the player fantastically engaged. If you’ve only played the second version of the game, I think it’s worth checking out, especially considering the visual changes and other new features.
